When are motors to be de-certified?

So Jerry, do you intend to do something about it, or continue to blame TRA and NAR?? It looks to me as if neither organization is, (once again), not your most pressing problem.

You are right George. Nobody deserves to be treated like that by trade associations and cronies.

I am sorry Izzy. George Gassaway sent me.

As it is dated April 2003, which was after the fire, after the Cedar City complex started producing, etc.

That may be so, but I am not willing to close my eyes to existing problems that are not dealt with. Telling Jerry to pack sand is no longer a viable solution for me. I now see how the influence of these two orgs has "in the long run" affected my ability to enjoy the hobby today.

JI issues happen to be one of the focal points, but is not the main issue.

Redress and evident change must occur for this conversation to go away. They (NAR/TRA) affect too many aspects of the industry to be left alone by outsiders or insiders.

It's funny, but I meant to send you an email this weekend suggesting you put your dissention on the TRA list server and see what happens. Little did I realize that you'd "been there, done that, got screwed"...

You should have done something useful instead. offered to resign as soon as he caught up on all the magazines he owed TRA members (and former members).

Hell, I will refund Kelly's dues (*) if he will resign from TRA forever. Rogers too.

So all the persecution we got for doing it "in a public forum" here on RMR was just a bunch of BS. I was right all along, what TRA is up to is CENSORSHIP of DISSENT.

(*) minus whatever is owed the members for unpublished magazines and other irregularities turned up by a complete audit...

Objectively? Absolutely. Independently? I would settle for "with integrety". NAR S&T has been 100% above board and without question since it moved from OH to MA several decades ago. TMT has gone through ups and downs. Even when open and honest, some information was hidden, and it was never totally above suspicion.

Disagreements between my wife and I don't affect folks on either coast. Our marriage is not an AHJ responsible for product testing. And we haven't applied for 501C3 tax status either.

By your logic the sleazy dealings at Worldcom, Enron, Global, etc. should also be private internal matters.

One might even say that the internet is the fownfall of TRA. Without the internet, and the level of communication it has created, all the TRA problems would still be their dirty little secrets. And folks would quietly think they were the only ones pissed about not getting the magazines they paid for.

The question should be why is any ones membership renewal subject to debate at any level. You send in your money and they send you your new card. period.

My last renewal was sent to TRA HQ in alabama. From there it was forwarded to Orem. Then at least 10 copies of my check were ILLEGALLY made and forwarded to others. At least one of the people it was forwarded to has never been a member of NAR, TRA, or any other national rocket group. The check was returned to me uncashed a month after I sent it in.

It wasn't until over a month after that that a BOD meeting was held to discuss the matter. At that meeting I was asked to agree to a TRA "code of conduct". I requested that I be provided with a copy of that document before agreeing to it. To date, 7.4 years later, I've got nothing in response to that request. >>ALL

I am curious. HOW MANY smoking guns have to be found littering TRA before someone does SOMETHING about it?

Seriously.

That is false, and growing more so. The legal requirements as you see them does not make your view law. And he has credibility with far more people than your limited scope can see.

He may not have credibility with you, but he does with me, whether or not he is tactful about it. All people (including me) have communication flaws. It is the essence of the entire message of what they are trying to say that is important to me, not the individual words.
