Its only in Quebec (Province around Montreal) where you have to speak French. Even there they should speak Eng^H^H^HAmerican.

I wonder why you assume you have to correspond in anything other than English? I haven't been to the site for a while, but I seem to recall it was in English.

To find out the conversion rate, check out the Yahoo main page. Look for their Finance section, they should have a currency converter there. You can send a bank or postal money order payable in Canadian funds from the UK. I had a few photos in a British aviation magazine quite some time ago, and they paid me in Canadian funds.

thanks everyone, i HAD been to xe.com which i use, and i noticed the rate was diff to US rate and it said it had Canadian $'s so i presumed it was not the Same as the bills i get to send to the US and didnt know if they were common n Canada, although occ i do buy from there and send US bills, i found the website and its in English!

I often try and write in the correct language, if its German, Spanish, French. My English is bad so i guess the others are even worse!

If you are going to send cash, you can send US cash. I've received payment for a few eBay auctions in US bills - one from Hong Kong! The US dollar is worth more than the Canadian dollar, so you can use the conversion factor to figure how much to send.

Tha nks, thats spot on, maybe i should email them, say i can get US bills and ask if he can tell me how much to send as he would give me a total in CAN$'s.

U.S. cash is usually accepted by Canadian businesses - most deal with the U.S. either for parts or as a market, so they're used to working with the exchange rate.

But there might be an easier answer - Canadian banks have branches in large cities that are set up to handle both Pounds Sterling and Euros, and Toronto is the largest city in Canada. You may be able to pay for your purchase with the money in your pocket, if you're lucky.
