FS: Big BATMAN RETURNS kit lot + extras $75 OBO

Focusing mainly on items from the classic Tim Burton-directed Batman movies, this lot includes a number of rare items for the Bat-fan scale
modeling enthusiast and more, including:
€ Horizon Models BATMAN from Batman Returns: Sculpted by legendary special-effects artist Steve Wang, this long out-of-print 1/6 scale soft-vinyl model kit remains one of the finest replicas of the Michael Keaton Batman ever made. Featuring a dead-on character likeness, an accurate and crisply sculpted Batsuit, and a dynamic, realistic pose, this model will look fantastic in a diorama or by itself. All major parts except the cape have been trimmed and test-fitted, but the kit is glue-free, paint-free and complete. Includes original box, instruction sheet, and Horizon how-to-buld guide.
€ Horizon Models CATWOMAN from Batman Returns: This stunning 1/6 scale soft-vinyl model of the sexy feline villainess features a stunning likeness of actress Michelle Pfeiffer combined with a highly detailed rendition of her stitched and torn rubber catsuit. This kit is mint and unassembled with a mint, never-opened box. A must-have for fans of Catwoman and sexy girl kits.
€ MPC Models BATMAN (Aurora reissue): This is the classic 1960s Aurora Batman kit, as reissued by MPC in the mid-1980s. Depicting the classic comic-book version of the Caped Crusader as he swoops out of the night, this plastic model kit includes Batman figure with Batarang, dead tree, and accessory bats. The model offered here has been extensively glued and partially puttied/sanded, but is still in highly buildable condition. There is a rather large molding defect on one of the tree trunk halves that should be easily fixable by a modeler of moderate skill.
€ AMT/ERTL BATMOBILE from Tim Burton's Batman: This nicely styled and detailed 1/24 plastic kit of the original movie Batmobile features a detailed cockpit, optional deployed machine guns, and chromed parts. Most of the parts are loose and there's been some glue and putty work on the body, but the kit is complete and ready to finish.
€ AMT/ERTL BATWING from Tim Burton's Batman: This rare kit of Batman's distinctively shaped flyer from the 1989 movie is a big 1/24 scale and features a detailed cockpit, scale Batman figure and optional control surface and landing gear assemblies. The major parts have been removed from their sprues and test-fit and may have some tape remaining on them, but the kit is complete, glue- and paint-free, and ready to build.
€ AMT/ERTL BATMISSILE from Batman Returns: This 1/24 scale snap-fit plastic model kit depicts the Batmobile's transformed "escape mode" from the 1992 movie, and features a detailed cockpit, tinted canopy windows, and chromed parts. The kit has been fully snapped together but is complete, glue- and paint-free and is ready to finish.
€ AMT/ERTL BATSKIBOAT from Batman Returns: This 1/24 scale snap-fit plastic model of Batman's "sewer skimmer" features a detailed cockpit with removable canopy, tinted canopy windows, and chromed parts. The kit has been fully snapped together but is complete, glue- and paint-free and is ready to finish.
€ BONUS KIT: MPC Spider-Man: Slightly rough but still cool, this snap-fit 1/8 scale plastic model kit features the old web-slinger in a classic pose. Originally designed to be stuck to walls or other flat surfaces, it also includes a web base for stand-alone display. The kit has been heavily glued, sanded and scribed, and some of the snap pins have been broken off, but it should be easily finishable by a modeler of reasonable skill. A rare and unique piece for the Spider-Man fan.
€ Original VHS copy of Tim Burton's Batman (1989): One of the most anticipated and best-selling videocassette releases of all time. This copy has been played fewer than five times and comes in a pristine cardboard slipcover.
€ Film Threat "Bat-Hype" issue, June 1992: This infamous issue of the irreverent movie magazine features a rather cynical article detailing the hype surround Batman and its 1992 sequel, and sports a striking close-up of the Bat Emblem on its cover. Not archivally stored but still in excellent shape, this is a scarce and unusual Bat-collectible.
€ Offical Batman Returns Movie Magazine, Starlog Press, 1992: This full-color magazine includes many rare movie stills, behind-the-scenes photos and production design pieces along with a plot summary, gadget glossary, and cast and crew biographies. Not archivally stored but still in excellent shape.
€ Also included: French-fry package from McDonald's Batman Returns promotion, various BR-rleated comic-shop flyers, and anything else I can find to throw in there.
This lot may be something of a mixed bag, but it offers a rare chance to get two long-unvailable Batman Returns model kits and many other excellent Bat-kits, all for a bargain price. Asking $75.00 OBO for the entire lot. Shipping, handling and PayPal fees are extra.
