Hannants - How slow are they...

IIRC, their website clearly states to allow so many days for them to even process the order. That should be enough of a hint not to be in a hurry, online or not. As for my experience, I get stuff from them here in the States in usually 3- 4 weeks, sometimes less.

Local model shop eh? Now there's three words that you don't see together very often. :) I've ordered from Hannants within the U.K. several times and have always found them to be fine. I agree it can be variable tho - from next day for etch brass or a decal sheet to about 10 days for a kit or three. So if anything, I'd say its luck of the draw - if your order coincides with a bunch of others it'll take a while, if its a slow day, it'll be in the post very quickly. Would I be without them? Nope, def not.

I find they come through in 10-14 days. I'm in California.

I have ordered from them a couple of times over the last month and while delivery can`t be called speedy they certainly are`nt slow and I for one thank god they are around!! Darren

I have oredered from them and find their delivery is resonable. They seem to be able to deliver to my house in Texas a lot quicker than Great Models can.

Oh mate - tell me about it. I wouldn't mind the slowness of delivery if they just told me it would take10 days to receive my order instead of the "it left us today should be with you tomorrow line..." They do have some good stuff tho. On the other hand I ordered from Ashton Models

Your expectations *are* too high. I like Hannants, but you only have to read the terms and conditions missive that comes with every package to see they have their own way of doing things. I don't think they're that fussed about speeding things up to suit us.

If I recall the order acknowlegement email I received said it could take several weeks to ship. I didn't mind the two weeks wait (plus delivery time), the thing that annoyed me off was they only supplied some of the items i had ordered, with no indication that order wasn't complete until it arrived a month later. The missing items (which are all readily available items) then had to be ordered a second time.
