Kit of BMW M3

Hi all.

Can anyone tell me what is the *nicest* kit of a BMW M 3 car ?? (or if a good one is even made) I would preffer something in the 1/24 size range if possible.

Just had a seriously big tree go into my neighbors yard, and want to build him a nice model of his car. (already got the tree out of yard, patched fence)

Kinda own it to them. This is the second time in two years 100' of tree decided to go his way...

TIA :)

Depends on which one you want. In 1:1, there's the E30 original ('87-'91), the E36 ('95-'99?), and the most recent E46 car. AFAIK, there's only one 1/24 kit of the E30. It's a Fujimi curbside kit that has a few shortcomings (intended to be motorized and lighted, so details suffer - and the chassis is absolutely unbearable), but is passable as the only one available. It also appeared in some big flat yellow Testors boxes mislabeled as the "M325i", but it's really the good ol' M3. Shows up regularly on ebay.

The Dragon/DML kit has been mentioned. It is an excellent 1/24 E36 curbside that comes in both standard and Lightweight versions. Some even have stick-on cloisonne roundels for the wheels. Also quite common on the 'bay.

I know of no current 1/24 or larger E46 M3 kits.
