Ok...the Type VIIC/41 showed up today...
...and I've got about 90% of the flood holes in the port side hull opened up on my first Type VII. Not a bad afternoon's work. Makes a big improvement in the look of the kit.

OK.....now you realize you have to keep us posted on the progress. By the way, what size Berna Clamp will you be using on the hull and about how many will you need. I want to build up my supply while I'm still working and can afford them. The larger ones are by no means cheap. (:>
I think I have at least a dozen...I like them so much I buy them whenever I see them.
The hull actually fits pretty well - I've had it held together with a single rubber band on and off all day. I'll probably only use about four clamps at a time (I have four small ones and the latter 1/2 dozen are large) and work from bow to stern in about 6 inch sections as I glue it up. Once I get all the holes on the port half open I'll start posting pics on ABMS.
I have all the ULAD decal sheets...I know which config I want to build, but not which boat yet. Wanna do a white one just to be different.
