Last night I did the ''1st time start up '' for the 5 minutes the directions said, while the thing was putting,I noticed the gauge wasn't moving, was this because of the 1st start up,& no hose/tool set up?.This is my 1st compressor,i'm learning,Thanks Again.

Tankless? If so the gauge doesn't move till you open the valve to the hose...I have one. MG

Is it tankless? You didn't say. If so, they kind of free-wheel creating no pressure till it is needed. Not sure exactally how they work, but they do. Turn it on, open the valve and see if it begins putting out air, if not you need to return it. They are rather noisy aren't they? I have two, one tankless (1/2 horse I believe) and one on a 5 gallon tank (1 horse, I think it is). Wouldn't trade for them though, I have gotten great service from them. The tankless I've had now for 16 years, still works great! Mike G.
