Paint won't stick

Yesterday I wanted to paint the first layer over my PST ISU tracks. The paint was not sticking to it nicely (undiluted Tamiya XF-1) so I washed the tracks in soap, hot water. And after that operation the tracks hate the paint even more! It's like painting the glass with water - paint just form in drops I tried to add some dishwasher liquid but it didn't help much. The only thing that helped was to wait for the paint to dry somewhat and then paint with thick paint.

Is there anything I can do to help the tracks accept their fate and become painted?

Hi Maciek, I sometimes experienced the same problem, but mostly with rubber tracks. I had no problem with the ISU kit. The key is to let the track dry thoroughly after washing it with a good old dishwasher soap ( no the one that makes soft hands but the one that really rips fat off). Better use a couple of thin layers of paint rather than a solid one. Alternatively, I use TAMIYA or REVELL acrylics as a "basecoat" and then make my own track colour with a mix of VALLEJO paints.
