Samurai Model

Last night my youngest son, Noel, asked me to do a model for his home, my choice of subject.

He just married in May in Japan and his wife gets here tomorrow. Her family is Takeda, a very old Samurai family. I would like to do a model of a Samurai identified as a Takeda family member. Is there such a thing?

And, no, it does not have to be in 1/72, but thanks for asking. :-)

TIA,

Tom

There is a Tamiya Samurai model kit that is larger, 1/16th

If you do a figures search at Squadron, you will see several other brands, scales, etc. available as well.

A long time ago Aoshima had a series of medieval Japanese figures. They may still be out there. They were to 1/35th scale.

I sold my uncompleted kit to someone here years ago.

Testors made a large scale resin figure of a samurai.

I have that Testors kit. Not the best casting. Not quite sure what to cut or file down as the instructions are useless. Its about 8 or so inches high. Just wanted to warn you in case you find it.
