This may be a very remedial question that every modeler knows the answer to but is there listed somewhere the colors of seat belts used in aircraft in WWII? I have been using masking tape "as is" (because it was handy) for several years for non-contest" entry models but would like to have some guidelines as to what the actual colors of the seat belts should be.
That should work for a lot of WWII aircraft. Once you get into the modern era you'd be dealing with nylon (sage green?) Anyone else? hth

Canvas (Light Gray) or -- more rarely -- Hemp? Possibly leather? (Black or brown.)
Thus the qualifiers...
