I have a picture taken in June 1942 an aircrew standing in front of the tail of an aircraft. The serial number is 120073. Is there a reference where I can find out what type of aircraft this is? Thanks Greg

If you can post the picture on alt.binaries.models.scale someone can probably tell you by taking a look.
According to Joe Baugher's serial # site, it's a Douglas C-53.
