WWI Prop Size Question

have not been able to find any specs on the length of WWI props.

this display prop looks interesting.

can anyone offer any info if it is remotely close to the correct size for a WWI prop?

would much rather have a 1:1 scale prop instead of "pretty close"....

thx all - Craig

Depends on the horsepower, of course, but WW1 props tended to be big because the rpms of WW1 engines tended to be low. And, very few of the props were more than two blade. Many were between six and eight feet.

That's nothing, I've a got flying manual printed in 1917 and it explains (among other things) how to judge engine faults by the colour of the exhaust! :o)
