Your opinion about Thayer & Chandler airbrushes VEGA & OMNI models produced by Badger

Hello,

I would like to hear your 1st hand experience and opinion about a new series of Thayer & Chandler airbrushes , VEGA & OMNI models. Does those VEGA and OMNI airbrushes spray hobby paints (enamels and acrylic ) well enough ? Any problems noticed ? Btw., Thayer & Chandler is now owned by Badger company.

Many thanks, Zac

I will often prime with Floquil grey primer, then finish up with Poly Scale acrylics. No problems noted, other than a need to occasionally pull the needle back to clean off the drying paint.

Clean up is easy.

I have an Omni 5000 and it's performed wonderfully for the past few years without any problems. It lets me do German mottle camo on 72nd a/c. I can recommend.

I bought a VEGA 2000 set from Dick Blick at the beginning of the year and have not regretted it for a second.

Cost less than a quarter (US$.75.00 ish) of what the only Australian stockist wanted for the 'brush alone. Kit contains #1, #3 and #5 needles and nozzles plus some other bonus items.

Sprays enamels, lacquers, and acrylics like a charm. Cleans up a lot more easily than my previous Aztek.
