If you are the primary user of SW at your company, the EULA states that you can legally have a copy on your home computer, or else a laptop.

Otherwise, you are looking in the wrong place for your illegal desire.

YouGoFirst is correct....I've taken my home pc to work and had SW installed.

I am the primary SW user, and the only user at work,,, and of course i can have a copy on my home computer, but then i need to bring the Dongle home in the evening, and more importent, remember to bring it back next day. it would be easier with a little crack. kurt

Must be hard to remember to bring your keys with you to work.

There are cracks out there that sort of reverse-engineer your dongle, so that a piece of software running on your PC mimics the function of the dongle.

Never tried it, but have considered it for just the same reasons as you. With the imminent move to 2007, there's not much point now.

If you have network licenses, the EULA doesnt allow you to use SolidWorks at home.

If you Talk to your VAR, they have the "full" 24 character code, that allows you to use Solidworks WITH OUT the dongle, either at home or work. BUT you do have to activate both installations on the internet.

Not true

We have all network licenses and have a at home SN and Reg code. You VAR will have to do back flips with Solidworks but you can get it

hi sorry but, English is not my first language. what is my "VAR" ??. i never before heard that i could have a copy on my home computer that does'nt need the dongle. today i installed SW2007 and upgraded to SP2.2 on my work computer, after the installation of the new SP it seems like SW dont search for the dongle no more, has any one experienced this phenomenen?? if SW keeps on not searching for the dongle, then of course my problem is solved. :-)

VAR = Value Added Reseller, which would be your company's source of Solidworks.
