Animator SW2003 still hangs after play.

Anyone else "STILL" having this problem?

When/after you run play, access to the SW gui is nearly all grayed out and you have to kill SW.

Hey, SW Corp, when is this "EVER" going to be fixed!?

How many freaking months does it take to screw in this light bulb and make it work???

Does the 'Exit Animation Mode' button on the Animator toolbar not work for you in 2003? I'm not really sure why they have it function this way, but it is annoying to have to hit that button all the time when your testing it out. Maybe Mike or Brian would care to share the purpose of having that button. If your having the problem in 2004, email me...

Hey Paul,

It's been a while since I've been poking around the newsgroup, but I seem to remember something like this that used to bug me too... something you may want to check is whether the 'Animation mode' toggle button is still activated. Starting with (ugh, I can't even remeber the version - could be SW2003) SW Animator had a 'Animation mode' toggle that when enabled would play the animation in the screen, but would not allow you to access the controls of SW until you disabled the mode. I remember it has something to do with the way Animator uses the display data in the file to do the animation... can't remember all the specifics.

Maybe this will help?

Paul, what happens is that there is a icon on the animator tool bar that once you play an animation, press the button and the de-activates tha animator. This fustrated me for a while till i figured it out. If you scan over the toolbar, it is called ...exit animation. I am not sure why they made it this way, does not make any sense.
