Block Creation (with Annotation Attribute Problems)

If you happen to be making a Block from sketch entities, dimensions and notes created on a drawing sheet, BEWARE!

As you may have noticed, often (as the Block is made), the scaling of the dimensions, arrowheads, leaders and notes can become a visual mess with unintended overlaps and skewed proportions relative to the sketch entities.

This, unfortunately, is due to the scaling of the drawing sheet being set to other than 1 to 1.

The moral of the story is to be sure that the sheet scale is defined as

1:1 before spending time carefully laying out any detail which is intended to become a Block...

Yes, a known thing. I also found out a few years ago the hard way that you always want to build a block on a drawing with a scale of 1:1.

I am also having problems with SolidWorks blocks. The blocks are a combination of text, dimensions, and sketch entities. The blocks look fine when I save them, but when they are inserted back into another drawing sheet, the text changes. Is there a way to lock the text size and font into the block and not have it change to whatever is set in the new drawing's document properties?

P.S. These blocks were created 1:1 on a drawing sheet scale of 1:1.

Our blocks seem to behave properly. How about sending me one or two of yours and I will try them here.
