SW2006.5.1 Hi, I need help with this one and can't find the answer in SW 'Help' - maybe it's not possible! I have 2 views in a drawing, a plan and an elevation. The product is long and slim and needs breaking in about 6 places along its length to show and dimension all the holes etc. I've broken each view separately to shorten them but cannot keep the holes etc aligned from one view down to the next. How do you keep the details lined up between views when breaking. Thanks for your help ... Roger

Break the first view before inserting the projekted view.

OK thanks, that did it - Regards Roger
You can also align them after the fact. Look up "broken views, align with parent".

Thanks for the tip, this is very useful but where do I find "Broken views, align with parent" can't see it anywhere - Roger
Go to the SW Help, go to the index tab, type broken, and it should take you to the broken views main category, under which you can choose align with parent. Now all that being said, I'm on SW2007 and I don't remember if it was available on SW2006 or not.
