I double click or right click and select open on the design journal and the hourglass pointer icon flashes twice and nothing happens? This is the first time I am trying to use the Journal so what am I doing wrong?

I can add a attachement of anysort but word documents. I right click the design Binder seclect attach and then select a html doc and I get success but if I choose a word document it does not attach.
This is frustrating
