Mega Yacht Bulider looking for experienced SolidWorks modeler.
Job Description: Design and engineer interior joinery, including finished cabinets and raw wood components. Utilize 3-D modeling, primarily SolidWorks, to engineer cabinetry for CNC assisted manufacturing. Coordinate interior design with décor designers from a manufacturing approach, utilizing standard concepts, practices, and procedures within finish carpentry. Will require using outside resources, previous experiences and professional judgment to plan and accomplish departmental goals. Reports and works through design guidelines as communicated by department head or supervisor. Communicate intellectual design schemes through interaction with trade supervisors and production personnel. Utilize CAD, word processing, spread sheets, database and other software tools to collect, organize and disseminate information. Use methods and abilities in a configuration management process.
Job Skills and Ability Requirements: Able to do research, development, cost estimates for labor and materials, create design schemes and do atypical tasks and physical layout to prove design. Physical layout may require carrying construction materials and tools to various locations. Materials and equipment that may need to be lifted and/or carried may weigh up to 55 pounds. Able to schedule and prioritize tasks in a timely manor fully supporting production or executive level needs. Be computer literate and have a working knowledge in the software's listed: AutoCAD 2002, SolidWorks, Rhino, Microsoft Access, Microsoft Word, Excel, Microsoft Internet Explorer, Microsoft Outlook.
