Message Box when dwg opened...

Hi-

Got a request from my boss today. He was wondering if a message box can be attached to a particular drawing file when it's opened in SWx and he asked me to look into it. He basically would like to have a msgbox pop up if you open a particular drawing file that unique instructions and the sort can be displayed automatically. (ie- Messages to other engineers who might open it, or a reminder to yourself that you should/shouldn't let access be given for a particular department, etc) I know the answer someone will give is most likely PDMworks, but the $ is not in the budget right now. Are there any other ideas/tips someone has or maybe some 3rd party applications?

I put a note across from low left to High right corner, font 8 to 10mm. Put it aside when printing...

There's no automatic way to do it without writing an add-in, and making sure it's always loaded. I don't know if any PDM systems can do it, but PDM might go a long way toward making sure the wrong people don't edit the drawing.

Yea, I had thought about that and mentioned it - We could create the note as you said and put it on another layer, hiding it when working on the drawing or when printing, but there was the possibility that someone would forget to show the layer before closing the file. I think he just wanted it a little cleaner - Something similar to a Visual Basic msgbox that popped up when the file was opened that you could just hit the OK button on and close it....

Thanks though....
