How could a revision block be created in WF2 from its inception?

Greetings:

Could someone please shed some light into this?

How do you create a parametric revision block in Pro/Detail? I have searching the web for several hours and still don't understand and confuse how this thing work. Do I need both Intralink and collaborate in order to create Revision block? While other suggest that I can use protoolkit. For instance, if I have an assembly of 3 individual parts. If I am going to modify the shape of one (REV C), a few dimension of another (REV F), and add / remove a few features to the 3rd (REV H). Will Intralink or Collaborate detect these changes automatically, add a revision block to my engineering drawing, keep track of the current revision and finally increment when the next revision occurs? Will these revisions propagate through the entire database if this assembly is used in several other assemblies? How this will react in case you have a family of parts where you will modify some pro/table value?

If it doesn't take too much of your time, please describe brieftly step by step the process from the moment you open the model / drawing for editing.

For instance, let assume that there are 5 parameters REV level, Date, Description, Check By, Appr By. Which program / module will be used to create these parameters?

- Model / Drawing opened.

- Intralink / Collaborate check in, track any changes, increment the Revision to the next level, put in the appropriate date.

- Drafter input description of the changes and his/her initial.

- Drawing opened

- Drafter add Revision block with aforemention parameters. Will this be done manually i.e draw table like, add notes with these parameter? If so, it could be very a tedious task.

- Model / Drawing saved, Intralink / Collaborate / will update the changes through the entire database.... and so forth.

Your time and help is greatly appreciated.
