New to SW. How can I mirror a part, and break the relationships so I can add features to the original that won't show up on the mirrored copy

You can specify which config to mirror in the mirrored part.

Or to completely break the relationship so it will never change you can RMB on the Referenced part feature in the Mirrored part and select List External References and in the dialog break all. THIS CAN NOT BE UNDONE! you have been warned. =^)
