Jason Pohl, designer at Orange County Choppers, uses SolidWorks to design wheels and other parts of the famous choppers.

This is however never mentioned in the Discovery programs.....

Maybe Mr Pohl and SW are the reasons for the huge succes of the series?

I was watching the show last night (1st Lincoln truck episode) and they had their graphic designer using a FARO (sp?) arm to digitize the exhaust into SW. The kid was having problems getting the arm to work, so Vinnie traced it onto a piece of paper to get it done.

OCC is using it, they just aren't advertising what they're using. Just watch the laptop that's used when trying to design the parts. You'll see the default SW gradient background on the screen.
