TIP

You can add bar codes and brail text to your part quite easily by using fonts.

  1. Use google to find "Z3OF9.TTF" and "BRLKIAMA.TTF" download and add to your windows font directory.

  1. make a feature with a text object.

  2. change the font to bar code or brail

  1. if your using the 3 of 9 bar code start and end the text with "*"

  2. extrude by the thickness of ink.

  1. RMB on the feature in the feature manager, select feature properties, color, black.

Done.

If anybody knows of any other interesting and extrudable fonts please reply.

Don't forget all those symbol fonts to be found within Windows. Wingdings and Webdings contain all sorts of graphical goodies.

If you have it installed, use the Character Map to browse and select symbols. (simply type "charmap" in the Run dialog from the Windows Start Menu).
