XP - Vista upgrade & SWX

I have a test machine running Vista and succesfully added SWX07 and got it to run well in compatibility mode. I am wondering if anyone has been able to in place upgrade an XP machine and convert SW to 07 compatibility mode w/o an new install ?

The test machine running SWX in Vista seems to run just fine. In fact it feels a bit faster. Also forget about logic here I am a tech junkie also.
