Is Atlas replacing Code 80 track and track accessories with Code 55? Is Code 80 going to become (or has it become) obsolete?

No. In fact, they're expanding the Code 80 line - a new Wye turnout has been announced.
For many of us in N scale, yes. But Atlas is still making it.
