GATS in some areas seems to be getting desperate.
I have received two E mails in three days from them touting a show about 40 miles south of here in Salem, OR. on October 4 and 5.
Oddly, (or maybe not so oddly) thats a week and two weeks, respectively, after two local clubs hold their flea market sales.
I hope that local buyers will spend their money with the local clubs.
I made the mistake of going to the GATS show last (?) March (?) in that location after a five or six year absence from GATS shows.
Last spring the GATS show was dominated by folks selling die cast metal cars and planes; dolls, and lots and lots of current issue and retail priced Lionel / Williams / K Line stuff. Thats all fine if that is what you are into, but i prefer something else.
GATS is advertising "200 tables". Thats a too "cute" ad. Tables does not equate to sellers.
The admission price is outrageous for the facility they are using.
