Gears and stuff. Where to buy?

Hi all In a further attempt to get my Peco turntable motorized, I've found the instruction sheet! and I need a large gear wheel (Meccano 27b or c) and a worm gear (Meccano 32).Both have 4mm hole for shaft. I believe the equivalent here was erector sets?, any way, cant find anything suitable at Hobbytown or local model shop, any leads please? I'm in Atlanta. Rob

Try a google search for "robot parts".

Thanks, but not what I need. Anyone else? Rob

I've never used them myself, but I've gotten good buzz about smallparts.com over the years. And they do have lots and lots of gears. *

Huh? Most of the robot parts places tend have all sorts of gears, which is what you were looking for.

Maybe "robot parts" aren't what you need, but don't dismiss Google out of hand.

I searched on "4mm worm gear" and got a bunch of hits. I stopped checking, after seeing that at least two of the listings on the first page of hits were selling them.

Then I searched on "Meccano 27b" and again got a bunch of hits. What would you like, metal or plastic? Original or reproduction? They're all there...

Thanks all Mecannoman has all I need, appreciate the input Rob

If you need chain and sprockets, try these guys:

Minimum order is $30.00, but it shouldn't be too hard to reach that amount, at least not for me... :>))
