We decided to set up our own auction after receiving this response from Hornby:

----------------------------- Thank you for your email.

At this time we do not have any plans to develop the Hornby Auction site at this time. We will keep this information on file in for future reference.

We wanted a site which had less "noise" than eBay, where collectors and enthusiasts could sell to like minded enthusiasts. We want the site to major on Hornby, but it appears to have struck a chord with other miniaturists and modellers already! We have received a favourable response so far and we have some great news too; we are already number 2 in Google for "Hornby Auctions". We are offering Fee- Free selling until June 1st and promise to keep fees LOW after that time.

I hope you can help spread the word,
