I did some castings on rock & brick... turned out well.. Here's what I did.. First, got some liquid latex from the hobby shop. The rocks etc, gotta be well cleaned,,, Put a couple of coats of latex on the rock,,, let dry about 24 hrs in between... Got some nylons, (hoped the Mrs. wouldn't miss a pair.. LOL), Put a nylon layer over the rock & a couple of more latex coats. I ended up with about 4-5 layers of nylon to give the mould 'body'. Always let the layers dry well before coating with the next. After pealing the latex mould of the rocks, I trimmed where necessary & was good to go for casting landscaping for my layout. It was fun to do & I also got carried away & made moulds of various other things as well..

Hope this helps Jim
