Marvelous - an Atlas solid disk turntable with a church 100 scale feet away.

That's nice for you, Bill, but is there anything you *don't* like? Or are you a nicey-nice bot?

Plywood colored ground cover, disk turntables, engines out of era, etc! Tsk, tsk! I can only imagine how much more fun he is having running his trains than you are having bitching about them and those that appreciate the OP's efforts.

Well, yeah, fun's fun; I don't take that away from anyone. Not a rivet counter here. (Well, a closet one, maybe, but I also like Thomas & Friends.)

Thanks bammer. That's a good one.

As I begin to plan that "big" layout I always dreamed of building. Its' nice to remember how much fun one can have with a piece of plywood, some E-Z track and trains :)

BTW that Bachmann Suzie Q loco is a real fine model - just got mine. I rode behind the prototype when she belonged to the Valley Railroad in Essex CT. It ran a special excursion on the P & W north out of Groton (right through the sub base too). When we arrived for the trip, I was thinking "there's no way I'm going to be impressed with this Chinese locomotive" and walked up to the front of the train. As soon as I saw it simmering and "breathing" there I fell in love with it :) Only problem was that it is so efficient (its' an oil burner) that it emits almost no smoke.

Cheers and Thanks for the link!
