Reprogramming a DCC loco

Apr 27, 2005 2 Replies

Hello everyone. Well my friend was testing out his MRC Prodigy Advance DCC system and tried the "consisting" function which is like MU in Digitrax and for some reason now I have a loco that is programmed to his consist number and cannot be changed back to its original address. Do I have to go thru his system again or is there a way to delete the address and re-program my loco in Digitrax? Thank you in advance for any help, it is appreciated.

address and re-program my loco in Digitrax?< I think setting CV19 to 0 should do it.

Consisting or MUing should not reprogram decoders. It is a function internal to the command station whereby it (the command station) sends the same instructions to several units simultaneously.

However, if something went amok and your loco was somehow reprogrammed, you can reprogram a decoder on any system. Just use your programming track and follow the directions in the Digitrax manual.
