Apologies for the picture quality (hand held in the dark):-

Langton lock, Liverpool returning after last night's firework display off the Pier Head. The vessels in front are, L to R:-

"James Jackson Grundy" ex-ICI Weaver Packet, built 1948 Yarwoods, Northwich, original 4-cyl Crossley direct-reversing 2-stroke.

"Panary" built C Hill & Sons Bristol, 1937. Engine Kelvin T6 circa

1964 (Original engine Kromhout)

"Hen" Dumb tank barge, built Yorkshire (Not sure where or when)

"Safehand" formerly "Lux", Edible oils tank barge, Built Yarwoods

1950, engine Kelvin T8 circa 1964

Behind them are two Mersey ferries, "Royal Iris" (1951) and "Snowdrop" (Ex-'Woodchurch') (1960), a dutch-built bunkering barge and a fast patrol craft which seemed to have taken some trainees or cadets out for a ride!

Cheers Tim
