Burford

Thanks Peter, Some excellent photos. It seems to be a theme this year that there is more background clutter. It's good to see engines that are mechanically restored rather than resort to the, sometimes dangerous, it's been apart let's paint it brigade!

Hi all just back from a hot Burford but nice weekend after a few beers with martin and Roland last night photos at

Gentlemen,

It was hot save for a light breeze to stop the over temperature, yes the Beer was very nice especially what I was drinking. Last weekend at Hollowell the Lister "L" used 3.5 gallons, this weekend now I have the measure of it it used 2.5 gallons approx, the rest of the four gallons I took ended up in the Camper as it ran out of fuel as I was backing on the drive with the trailer :-)), gauge not accurate enough to rely on. The Lister and trailer are about the limit weight wise behind the CA except the old girl willing cruised on the flat coming home at 50mph. Had no traffic problems coming home, had nothing in the way at all, cant say much about the 30 - 40 cars following though, I can only assume that they all wanted to see the old girl and what I was towing :-))

Pictures up tomorrow as wife has fed and watered me and I'm to tired from the weekend. Can I say thanks to all my guests hope the tea was ok and to Roland, Philip and Nick for a humourous weekend, and especially to the chap next to Nick who had left his off switch at home and kept prattling on about everything and nothing until we were rude and walked away :-))

A enjoyable couple of days, the Lister gen set ran very well, and the company was good... though you really must try and keep up with the conversation Martin :-) I didn't take any pictures as I think Peter, Nick, and Martin had it pretty well covered. I'm sure my tent won't mind a few Petterspots, and I hope Rolands' dynamo is feeling better for Welland......always a bit worrying when the oil looks like gold paint in the bearing well.

A shame I missed the BSA Bleader in the motorbike section on Saturday. Apparently a Bantam frame fitted with a Leader engine.
