BYB volume 2

A new BYB volume 2 is out soon as seen on sel list American Gas Engines Volume 2 is completed! 416 pages of all different engines than Volume 1. The new book is hardcover and matches the original one like we reprinted a year ago. We have no idea how many to get printed, so here's the

deal: The book will sell at $60, but we will pay the postage if you send us your prepublication order. That's $60 postpaid in the US. Or, if you need to

replace Volume 1, we will give you a special deal of $110 for both Volume 1 and Volume 2, and we'll ship them to you together, postage paid! We hope Volume

2 to be ready the end of June. BYB 1 AND BYB 2 will give you a thousand pages of engines! Cash, check or money order, no PayPal or credit cards or open accounts. C. H. Wendel, The Prairie Press, 4415 F Street, Amana, Iowa 52203

Hi I emailed the man himself and this was his reply

Please add another $20 for shipping. I think you'll like some of the British engines in the appendix, like the Tangye's portable of

$80 then - about £45, plus all the faffing about with getting an IMO as they don't accept Paypal or credit cards. Hmm, I wonder if Amazon UK will be carrying it?

We tried to get this running last year on the reprinted BYB. Using an 'M Bag' which is up to 66lbs for $18.50 flat rate surface postage, we could have got 8 or 10 books over. Not enough interest so I dropped it.

M Bag is a USPS service and available for media mailing only (books etc etc)

I bought my BYB many years ago at a rally (from the late Jim Parkinson ISTR) and I suspect most other 'interested parties' would already have aquired a copy by last year. Perhaps initial demand for the newly published second volume would make it worthwhile? Looks like you've got at least two potential customers (me and Dave) - anyone else?

Only got a copy of the original earlier this year and would be interested in the new BYB Vol 2.

Remind me of the drill - I went through all this last year when I bought some Maytag parts from Marvin's Maytag Shed and ended up paying for an IMO from the bank, then the Royal mail wouldn't releas the parcel until I'd paid some sort of duty, all in it nearly doubled the cost! Does the Post office do IMO's for free or did you mail cash?

When I got my BYB last year the cheapest way was at the post office they don't charge so it costs $80 and no bank charges
