Did the Battle of Britain Class of locomotive ever have black livery?

AIUI, from my reference books, no they never carried a black livery.
The two Bulleid designed classes that did were the MN class and the Q1, both due to war time austerity (although the Q1's would have carried some form of black livery anyway.
Running a quick eye over this list...
... would appear the answer is no, unlike Merchant Navy locos 21C1 (35001) to 21C20 (35020) which did.
