I am looking for 7mm Modern Image layouts that may be available for exhibitions. Would it be a good idea to have a website that people could give information of there layouts that are available for exhibitions, Not just for O gauge but all scales, ?
I think it would be a very useful resource if it was comprehensive. And obviously, the more comprehensive it is, the more work it will be for the webmaster.
It's a shame that there isn't any kind of 'national' website where all the best model railway information could be found and submitted to - and where everyone would instantly know where to look - something along the lines of the NMRA in t'USA. Your idea would be perfect for such a site.
If you go for it you may want to consider building a database driven website rather than a plain html one. That way any exhibition organiser could look for layouts by scale, prototype, size, region, cost and any other variable you put into the database.

I recieved the following by e-mail: (interesting, because I've not previously replied to this thread...)
Note the inclusion of a .exe file as an attachment. I would STRONGLY suggest anyone getting this NOT open it, but trash it immediately. I drive a Macintosh, so it didn't hurt me...
I happen to know a Noel Leaver, who is a railway modeller. The above isn't the email address I would use to contact Noel. Therefore, I conclude the usual spam/virus engines at work which harvest random addresses before sending them out to other target victims in order to point the blame at the wrong person. Likely infection point would be someone who has had correspondance in the past with both Noel and Joe.
Agreed on the bin-it advice, the file name extension is highly suspicious. My machine has extensive shields and would have binned it before downloading. My shields include not using MS products for email, though I do use them for newsgroups.
