Any idea what this is supposed to achieve?

John.

Appeared somewhere recently but not certain where. Something to do with direction arrow and the emergency stop (or after)

Cheers, Simon

It doesn't fix the direction arrow - that is in the next upgrade. Don't know about emergency stop.

My understanding is that 1.1 ( the second update given version number

1.1....) fixes the bug where CVs read back from a decoder have 1 added to their numerical value.

I know I was far too casual, but from Hornby site :-

13 Apr 2007

Version 1.1 of the Elite Firmware contains minor updates. Please proceed to the download page to obtain and install the update.

This update fixes default direction and improves the Emergency Stop functionality.

Cheers,

Simon

HTF did they let that out of the door without spotting it?

Same way that the (ex-Lima) Class 101 dmu was released with three different types of buffers. Sloppy in other words.

John.

Thats not what they say on theyre website for this update and someone on another forum did remark that the two version 1.1 fixes were the same module.

Cheers, Simon

I think you mean 'their' - same attention to detail as Hornby?

John.

Nah, just missed out the 'that'.

"18th April 2007 Update - Since the Hornby Elite review was prepared Hornby have released a firmware update (ver 1.1). Following the download of new software, CV values are now read back accurately. "
