Kato N Scale TGV

Hi all and sorry if it is slightly off topic for uk railways but I see that this issue was raised here in 2002 so it might be of some use...

But does anyone know where I can get more info of the Kato TGV in Thalys colours for N scale? It should be like the orange TGV but I was wondering... when it would be ready (I have heard this or next month, but no news), how many cars it is and how much it is also where I can get it from.

I have tried kato's website and a handful of US sites but I was hoping to get it from someone in the UK.

Thanks in advance

Mike

I think MG Sharp in Sheffield are a Kato agent, maybe worth a call to them as well as Gaugemaster.

Alternative to Gaugemaster & Sharp, there are some Ebay sellers. I've dealt with one in Cambridge who was fine for some Japanese made stuff, and he's listed TGV's in the past.

Advert in N Gauge Journal 1/05 from Osborns's Models Abingdon indicates availability.

I guess M G Sharp and JRS will also be able to supply.

Have a nook at Osbourne's Models of Abingdon's site - Maurice is advertising them:

Hi all,

Many thanks for the info.

The Osbourne's Models of Abingdon's site site is great, thanks for that. I've also written to Guagemaster and MG Sharp. I hope to post the results of that for completeness in a few days.

Thanks again...

Not only are Kato releasing the Thalys TGV in a six car plus four add-on they are also releasing Class 66 in N Gauge, but it seems only in Continental colours, no UK liveries.

Personally, I don't see why modellers in the UK who choose foreign subjects should be excluded from this group? After all they have problems unique to UK residents which can't easily be answered in a foreign newsgroup. I'd only draw the line at foreign residents discussing foreign subjects.
