I now have an 8F and an N2, and both are superb. The 8F is particularly good - if this is the standard the new Hornby loco-drive A1/A3 will be built to, I will be very happy to pay for one.

Anyone know of a reasonably straightforward motor / running gear replacement for the execrable Hornby J83?
