Trying to get a GWR 1076 Buffalo kit at 4mm

Sep 24, 2008 7 Replies

Hi

Trying to locate a GWR 1076 class "Buffalo" pannier tank kit (4mm), either unbuilt or built.

Alan Gibson/ M&L Premier have done kits in the past, but the current owner of Alan Gibson says that the pannier version is likely to be very low priority for a reissue...

Can anyone help?

Regards, Helen

As youre a lady presume this is for a present. Do him a favour and get something LNWR, Midland or LMS instead.

Hi Simon,

There are a few lady modellers out there and this one is modelling SR and GWR 1930s Weymouth! Hence the request. With railways spanning 150 plus years of my family's history, it's obviously in the blood!

I would duck if I were you....

Helen

It might be possible to do a kit bash using bits from an Armstrong Goods and an open cab pannier.

John.

Thanks - I'll give it consideration.

The one was basically the tank engine version of the other.

OK would apologise except you seem to have taken it in the spirit intended.

1930's are my interest too, but in the midlands when the old LNWR were still around and Stanier engines just coming in.

Cheers, Simon
