Well, someone had to put the modules in in the first place, just remove them and connect the pickups to the motor. Keith

G'day, Yes they can be removed very easily. If you have any problems let me know what Brand and type of Locomotive and I will see if I have a Diagram.

don't go to any trouble right now thanks Graeme - I will ascertain their condition in person first, then go further with it if necessary. The offer is appreciated though. BTW Can you offer any insight on the history of Hornby Pullmans and their development over the years - it seems there are a few different ones and I am uncertain which to get now.

Thanks

In the 1980s and 1990s, they had only 2 variations - First Class Parlour Car and Brake/Parlour Third. They came with a set of different name transfers (numbers for the Third Class car) that you applied yourself.

The new range introduced 2 or 3 years ago is significantly more detailed and extensive (expensive, too), with working table lamps.

hi martin - thanks. Man you're not kidding when you say expensive for illuminated ones. They have non-illuminated's too but still pricey. New and old both look good though.

:)

I think I will be picking up the older style for while.
