advice needed on welder for sale at auction

In early August, the local U.S. Forest Service field office is having a silent auction. I noticed on the list of items an "aluminum welder" so I thought I should check it out....turns out to be about a one year old, hardly used Miller Econotig CC AC/DC. I just bought a new Lincoln "Buzz Box" AD/DC 220 welder ( bought it one week ago!!) But I really want a tig welder....Here is my problem, ....What is this welder ( the Miller) worth, is it a decent model?? Being a Miller, I am sure it is of good quality, What does one think a fair bid would be for this machine?? It comes with the cart, foot controls, and like I said it is only about a year...maybe two years old, with very little use..... Thanks for your advice....now I am off to the Miller site to look up this machine..

The Econotig is a basic AC/DC TIG/Stick welder. I had one for 5 years. They work as long as you stick within their range.

18 ga to 3/16" aluminum, 18 ga to 1/4" steel.

New they are about $1100. Used .....I sold mine for $750. I suppose this is sealed bid.

$500 is a bit low, but you could give it a try.
