There aren't any 65,000 members.There were some 30,000 before the "merge"(takeover?) with RCA. Then60,000. Are you telling me that there were 30,000 people on RCA thatwere NOT members of RCU? Come on...So, I looked up my own user name. Yes, I was registered twice, as werethousands and thousands of others.But I stumbled across something totally remarkable. There wereTHOUSANDS of names, all similar, all registered on the same day.When I asked Marc about it, he said it was a hacker.Then he wrote back and said he had changed his mind, they were allreal members.Then he added 5000 MORE members to his numbers, went from 60 to 65kovernight.There aren't any 65,000 members. That's baloney.Bitter? A bit, yes.I feel like a victim of bait and switch. If somebody had said, whenRCU started, that THIS is what it was going to be, I would NOT havewanted to participate.I would NOT have contributed 2000 posts to an "rc market". And that'swhat it is. When I got my suspension notice from them for beingcritical, it said my "account" from the "RCmarket" was suspended.Hey, I never signed up for a "market". A forum, yes. Not a market. Iwould NEVER have contributed all that time to a hopeless rival toebay, with the content being dictated by the sponsors.Nor would I want to contribute to something that was run by somebodyso dishonest. I don't want to have smoke blown up my butt by stupidpress releases telling me that the "merger" is good for me, when IKNOW who it is really good for. Nor do I want to be associated withsomeone who would try to dupe the sponsors into thinking that theaudience was maybe twice as large as it really is.Nomex zipped, fire away.

Was that why my post about Horizon Hobbies errant "water condesing in fuel jug" article was closed? Horizon didn't want anybody to know they made a mistake? Or did W8ye not like being proved wrong? Why can't you have expert moderators instead of just volenters? For example RC-Online used to have George Aldrich as the engine moderator. You have Art Grabow, but I don't think you are claiming that he is an expert at anything.
