Z-Ends with Micro-Tubing - how to use???

Hi everybody, got that fantastic thingies after having worked once with CA and micro-tubing applicator. Never again w/o :-)

But I'm having some problems to get the House-of-balsa solution going, i.e the tube is too thick (but not much). Would it be right to extend the tip-hole by use of thin music wire and wait until the tip shrinks back?

Any help is appreciated, TIA

I take it that you mean the hole in your applicator tip is too big. You can make your own CA applicators by using the plastic shafts of cotton-tipped applicators (Q-tips). Cut off the cotton ends and hold the shaft near a flame until the plastic softens, then pull the ends. The softened part will draw out and make a thin capillary. Cut off the excess, and cut apart in the middle. Attach the tip to the CA bottle with a piece of fuel tubing.

Thanks Morris, great tip, thanks.

BTW: the tip-hole of the applicator is actually too small for accomodating the micro-tube properly. But it looks like extending the hole with a thin music wire does the trick.
