POWER System design & simulation.

Hi. I m in search of THE BEST way to design and simulate the electrical power systems. Can anyone, kindly, guide me through the best software or stuff that could help me. Thank u very much.

There are many sources out there- none are cheap. Note that these sources will allow analysis of specific aspects of a system which you will have to know enough about to design (and tweak after analysis). Computer programs crunch data that you put in- they don't design-that's the job of the person putting the data in. You don't indicate, except in the most general and least meaningful way, just what you want to design. A major power system, a local distribution system, an industrial plant's system or a power supply for a computer.

With a bit of analysis and some educated guesswork a spreadsheet program can do the job,

Thanx Kelly! Actually i want to build power systems like motor controllers(starters) and other controller like this for controlling other such machines. I mean i want to know how can i interconnect different cct. elements like contactors, relays etc. to make a complete network and how can i verify my deisgn. Kindly guide me through.

My vision of a power system is not a motor controller and relay connections. It is a bit broader. It involves generation , transmission and utilisation. For your purposes, first define exactly what you want to do. This may involve of relay logic (Boolean logic q.v.) or SCADA design in the solution but until you define the problem no one can help you. I would suggest that you look for machine control specialists. It may cost you.
