Can anyone give me any pointers on how to convert standard Kwikset (KW1) deadbolt to a Schlage SC1 deadbolt?
Does anyone make a conversion plug?
It is in a handle set and the deadbolt cannot be replaced.

I'd like to help but I can't figure out what in the world you're asking.
What kind of deadbolt do you have Kwikset or Schlage?
What kind of knoblock do you have?
Which one do you want to convert?

Since it is not a Titan, I know of no way to convert a Kwikset to use a schlage key.
Sounds like you will have to replace the deadbolt assemlby. But for looks/fit, you may be able to get a Titan with the Schlage plug and get it to fit with the least amount of touch-up required.

Check out EMTEK's website . Not a bad product and nicely priced. It is in a SC1 keyway..
