Credit Card Merchant Accounts

Oct 31, 2003 Last reply: 22 years ago 2 Replies

So far, I've been a cash or check guy. I'm wanting to get a merchant account for Master Card & Visa.

What do you folks pay per month?

Per Transaction?

Do you remember what your set-up fees were?

What other expenses should I be looking at?

Thanks,

Try Capital One's site.

25 dollar one time fee 6 dollars a month Machine extra Visa + Mastercard 1.56% plus 27 cents Discover + AMEX .15 cents each I think.

This is the one I'm looking at. If there are better ones I'd be interested in those too.

Thanks Glen. After I posted this, I looked around for one that would fit my business a little better. I posted some info in the files section of the link below. It may not fit everyone, but it was good for me. No equipment to buy. No monthly fees. There's always trade offs I guess. Only includes Master Card & Visa. Here - if they have Discover or Amex, they also have the other two. Wasn't an issue for me. Little higher set-up, but no monthly fees. If I don't use it there's no charge. VERY fast set up.

Anyway - FWIW!
