A very disturbing conversation

Yeah. Like Australia. Another case where we have constant ethnic violence, because we did not fight for freedom.

I can't tell if you're being facetious or not, Nick. Expand, please.

And do you feel that all of your Far Right Opinions are correct? Can't you see how being far right can impair your vision just as much as someone being far left can be blinded by their view of the world?

Centrist doesn't mean straddling the fence... it means looking at both extremes and finding something that will work for most people.. the greatest good.

The problem with being Far Right or Far Left is that both refuse to budge and in the end all you have is trench warfare... are you up on how poorly trench warfare worked in WWI?

You think you're fighting for the correct cause, but the problem is, the people on the OTHER end of the spectrum feel just as strongly as you do that THEY are correct.

Spitting hate and indignation for the other side (from BOTH sides) will get us NO WHERE. If you can't see that, you're too far gone already.

Don't take it too seriously. I suspect I could be rightly tagged with being at one extreme and I don't hate gunner. I respect his technical expertise and and somewhat bemused by his political affilliations.

Does he hate me? As the man says ... .

Expand? I already weigh too much!

I was being facetious. We did not fight for freedom. We are not overcome with ethnic violence.

OK, elucidate, don't explode.

Oh, I thought there was strife between the Poms, Sandgropers, Banana Benders, et al. ;)

Hmm. I haven't responded to my own comments in quite some time. But I do have hours of fun, responding to, as you say, "inane political world views."

Then there's that, too.

hehe! Only at the footie.

Perth West Australia was actually voted recently as (I think) the most boring place in the world.......because of the _lack of racial and economic tension_! This was not by some youth mag either. If that's boredom then let me yawn on.

Ethnic unrest is on the increase in Oz. But it's not the rampant version seen in many....what do we call them now? 3rd world countries. It's just friction between gangs and general grumbling.

Aussies are just too bloody lazy to get that upset about anything!
