Calvins Score for today

As I may have mentioned, I had one of those window stickers made up at the County Fair over the weekend. A cowboy hatted Calvin pissing on the word "Liberals".

Today is the first day Ive driven in the Southern California /LA area.

The score as of 9pm is

4 thumbs up 3 smiles and waves. 1 bird 1 nasty look

I think we can safely say thats 7 votes against Liberals, 2 for Liberals.

Update again tommorow.

And that updated list can easily start reading things like:

2 "Key Jobs" on each side of car ($500 damage each) 1 Broken window ($200 - $500) 1 Calvin sticker defaced on rear of car - glass etched in process 1 Calvin sticker covered up with a Kerry-Edwards bumper sticker, Calvin sticker destroyed in process of removal

Or worse - like the car torched... You of all people should know better than to go around poking dangerous animals like Liberals. ;-0

If you are able to watch the car 24/7, that kind of free speech is noble, and showing your opinion is a good thing. But if you park any place not secured with a locked 10' fence and razor wire, where those pesky liberals can approach the car unobserved, things can get ugly fast. Hell, even with the fence, they can just shoot through it.

They talk peace, but wage war. "Situational Ethics" can justify just about any ugly act in the 'support of peace'. The Animal Liberation Front, Greenpeace and PETA are liberals - 'nuff said. ;-)

That's why I'm in no rush to put a W-'04 sticker or anything like that on any of my vehicles. And I would strongly suggest you reconsider leaving it on the vehicle at the first sign of truly hostile reactions, unless you have full insurance including a Zero Deductible Comprehensive. (Considering the state of your finances in the recent past, I'm willing to bet it's $500 - $1000 deductible or none.)

Oh, and the 'Pissing Calvin' stickers like that are why Bill Watterson gave up drawing the Calvin And Hobbes strip. BIG copyright violations, and he doesn't see a dime from any of them.

Good points all, and do indeed point out the evil nature of Liberals. As I mentioned in an earlier post, Ive already caught one of the evil bastards at work.

Its an old truck, quite tired, with lots of dings and scrapes. I dont care too much about the paint anymore, though broken glass will be really bad.

However...as you may have discovered..I do have a rather perverse nature at times... and this tickles my fancy. Ive made it a real point to always keep an eye on my truck, simply because of my tools and the burglary I had in 2000, where they stole 25 yrs worth of tools.

So Ill let it run for a while before taking out the razor blade, just to see where it goes. But thanks for the concern.

Actually, I've not heard yet of a "conservative" sticker being vandalized. However, my "liberal" yard sigsn have been torn, trampled, crushed, and burned, presumable by those who disagree with my First Amendment freedoms.

Well here ya go: Washington Times source

'Rathergate' symptoms

By Larry Elder

CBS, in rushing to air the now discredited anti-Bush National Guard documents, issued an embarrassing apology. Dan Rather, after days of stonewalling and insisting the "60 Minutes II" report was accurate, says: "I no longer have the confidence in these documents that would allow us to continue vouching for them journalistically. I find that we have been misled on the key question of how our source for the documents came into possession of these papers. That, combined with some of the questions that have been raised in public and in the press, leads me to a point where, if I knew then what I know now, I would not have gone ahead with the story as it was aired, and I certainly would not have used the documents in question. But we did use the documents. We made a mistake in judgment, and for that I am sorry."

The matter grows curiouser and curiouser. Longtime George W. Bush nemesis, retired Texas Army National Guard Lt. Col. Bill Burkett, provided "60 Minutes" with the documents. Where did Mr. Burkett get them? He initially told CBS and USA Today they came from George Conn, a former Texas National Guard colleague who works for the U.S. Army in Europe. He now says he lied, and that the source is a "Lucy Ramirez."

But USA Today says when Mr. Burkett arranged a pickup with "Lucy Ramirez," a man appeared, handed him an envelope and walked away. Sounds like a scene from "Get Smart."

Bernard Goldberg, author "Bias: A CBS Insider Exposes How the Media Distort the News" and "Arrogance: Rescuing America From the Media Elite," spent 28 years at CBS. He called Rathergate "inevitable," a product of liberal groupthink and a predisposition to believe the worst of Republicans.

Well, at least, nobody has been arrested - so far. Consider the plight of an anti-Bushie in Washington state:

"Dear Larry,

"Last Thursday I put out one of my Bush/Cheney signs in my front yard. Between midnight and 3 a.m. someone stole it. On Friday night I put out sign No. 2. Since I didn't have to get up early, I thought my dog and I would "stake out" our sign. This time I put the sign a little closer to the gate leading to my backyard. With my dog on an extra long leash, I planted myself on a lawn chair and read 'Unfit for Command' by flashlight until about 1 a.m. Here comes the fun part.... I noticed that the car coming down the street was slowing down and pulling over to the curb right next to my yard. Sure enough, he gets out of his car and heads right for my sign. Just as he was about to uproot and desecrate it, I opened my gate and let my dog make the initial introduction. As he ran to hide behind the rear end of his car, I promptly moved to the driver-side door, which was still open. It was a fairly nice car with power everything and still running. While my dog continued to 'introduce' herself, I rolled up the window and hit the power door lock button. With that, I slammed the door, grabbed my Bush sign and headed into the back yard.

"And now for the 'rest of the story.' About 40 minutes later, I heard a knock at the door. I opened the door to one of our city's finest... the Vancouver Police Department. The officer asked me what was going on and when I told him, he could not stop laughing. I followed him out to the perp's car and stood there while he asked the guy a few more questions. Upon learning that the guy lived a couple of streets down, I - knowing what was about to happen - asked him, 'Why do you have Oregon plates on your car if you live just down the street (here in Vancouver, Wash.)?' Larry, Oregon has no sales tax, so often Washington residents will buy and register cars in Oregon to avoid paying sales tax... it's a crime and the fine is pretty stiff. Here comes the best part.... The look on this guy's face told me he knew he was about to get busted. When the officer asked for his license and registration, the 'Democrat' mumbled that (his license) was suspended. Just for kicks and giggles I asked the officer if he smelled any alcohol coming from the guy. The officer looked at me, smiled and promptly gave him a field breathalyzer test. Guess what? You got it, he blew a .10, legally drunk in the state of Washington. "DUI, illegal registration and the brand of 'MORON,' all 'cause he hates Bush.

"Sincerely, "John."

Rathergate. A "60 Minutes" producer arranges a call between their document source and a senior Kerry aide. Forty days until election. Can we hold on?

Around here both Bush and Kerry yard signs have been stolen. However, we notice the missing Kerry signs more because there were so few of them to start with.

That's because in Gunner's world all liberals are cowards and all conservatives are heros. If there were a bunch of defaced liberal decals in his neighboorhood he wouldn't see them. If he was forced to notice them he'd probably blame the vandalism on liberals who were trying to get conservatives in trouble. Because it's only liberals who believe that the ends justify the means. In Gunner's world. ERS

Last Saturday night some of them damn kids toilet papered the house across the street from mine. And stuck about 20 Kerry / Edwards signs up in their yard for good measure. Boy, were the homeowners p.o.'d cleaning up that mess.
